Family Link

The Family Link Program assist Aboriginal youth and children that are at risk of entering or already within Out-of-home-care (OOHC) statewide (NSW). Dedicated research provides Kinship, Family Contact and Cultural information linking them to families, country, and community, ensuring a sense of social, emotional, and physical well-being.

We work closely with Birth Deaths and Marriages NSW (BDM NSW), Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) and other peak research bodies.

At Link Up (NSW) we ensure to provide precise and thorough information to contribute towards Kinship and Family Guardianship as being the most safe and viable option for a child or young person in Out of Home Care.

Acknowledgement of Country

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and live.  We pay respect to our Elders past and present and to our fellow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We also acknowledge our Stolen Generation and the pain that will never go away, but for a better future we must move forward for our family and our younger generations to come.  We are one with our heritage and culture, we are a part of Mother Nature.

I Acknowledge
