Link-Up (NSW) has several different services to try and help Aboriginal people in different situations. Below is a list and a brief summary of what they provide.
Link-Up Reunification service provides:
- assists Aboriginal people who were forcibly removed due to previous government policies and were fostered, adopted or institutionalised become reunited with their family
- support to assist clients with some of their concerns or unanswered questions before, during, and after the journey home.
- options when making decisions relating to reunions.
- continued support to clients and their new found family for as long as required.
- assistance for clients who have met their families and are having problems coping with the experiences they had as children after they were separated.
- support for adoptive/foster parents.
- a Corrective Services Caseworker who offers support to Aboriginal people in Correctional Centres who have been through the experience of separation or removal.
Counselling Service provides:
- a holistic Aboriginal specific counselling service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families due to previous government policies and were fostered, adopted or institutionalised.
Link-Up Family Services - Foster Care Agency
- Link-Up Family Services Foster Care Agency finds suitable Aboriginal foster carers for Aboriginal children and young persons who are in foster care.
- Link-Up Family Services recruits, trains, assess and provides on-going support and training for their Foster Carers.
- Link-Up Family Services provides high quality case work to ensure the child or young persons safety and well being are secured during their time in foster care.
- Link-Up Family Services provides several types of care including: Emergency or Crisis placements, Short term care, Long Term care and Respite.
- Link-Up Family Services provides Foster Care for the Metro West Region of Sydney which includes areas such as Katoomba, Springwood, Penrith, St Marys, Mt Druitt, Merrylands, Blacktown, Auburn, Granville, Parramatta, Castle Hill, Dural, Windsor, Richmond and Wisemans Ferry.

Family-Link program
- The Family-Link service aims at finding possible kinship (relative) carers for Aboriginal children and young persons entering or within the Out of Home Care system.
- The Family-Link service provides this to children and young persons of Aboriginal descent aged between 0-17 years of age.
- Priority is given to children and young persons at risk of self harming, depression, placement or family breakdown and those who are in non-Aboriginal placements.
